Coordinator for the inter-faculty research project Translating Europe: Politics of the Soul, in co-operation with Lars K. Pharo, Oslo; Siri Nergaard; Bologna; Birgit Meyer, Utrecht, Jorunn Økland, Oslo.

2011 →

Coordinator of the inter-disciplinary project Local Dynamics of Globalization in the Pre-Modern Levant. This project is selected to be promoted by the Centre for Advanced Study at the Norwegian Academy for Science and Letters for the academic year 2014-2015.

Leader of the research group Jewish Literature and Religion in Persian and Hellenistic Times, Faculty of Theology, University of Oslo.

2004 - 2011

Network Co-ordinator for OTSEM: a Northern European network for Old Testament PhD and Post doc. education, comprising scholars from the following university institutions: Helsinki U.; Åbo Academy; Uppsala U.; Lunds U.;  Georg-August Universität Göttingen, Oxford U.; Copenhagen U., Aarhus U.;  Oslo U.; MF Norwegian School of Theology; School of Mission and Theology, Stavanger; University of Iceland.

2009          

Academically and administratively responsible for the conference The Formative Past and the Formation of the Future, Oslo 16 - 18 September. A volume from this conference is in preparation, edited by Terje Stordalen and Saphinaz Naguib.

In 2009 (and ongoing) PhD scholar Petter Skippervold and I started co-ordinating an Old Testament Reading Group for students at the University of Oslo.

2008           

Responsible for the International Workshop Text, Tell, and Empire, University of Oslo

Academically and administratively responsible for the Sixth OTSEM Annual Conference, Granavolden 7 - 10 December.

2007           

Co-odinator of the international research initiative CoCult [Constructing Cultures: Memory in Transition and Conflict, sponsored by the Research Council of Norway.
